Comprehensive Plan Document

The city of College Station’s Comprehensive Plan was originally adopted in May 2009 after thousands of hours of citizen participation. The plan covers a 20-year horizon and guides how the city grows and changes. It is meant to be a “living document” and recommends that the City regularly evaluate and update it as conditions change in our community.

Throughout 2021, city staff worked to implement the recommended changes which included revising goals, policies, actions, narrative, and maps, along with associated maps from related master plans.

In late summer and early fall of 2021, I created the document by photographing imagery throughout the city, creating illustrations, and laying out the 178 page document.

The City Council adopted the updated Comprehensive Plan in October 2021. Click here to view the city of College Station's Comprehensive Plan web page for more information.
